Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Providers at both our Illinois and Florida offices are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Florida office is certified with Tricare East/Humana Military. For families using BCBSIL or Florida Blue, we handle all billing and reimbursement on your behalf so you don’t have to worry about the paperwork.
We also work with self-paying clients and those covered by other insurance companies on an out-of-network basis. If your plan allows you to go out-of-network for mental health services, you may be eligible for reimbursement. We’re happy to provide billing codes to help you understand your coverage, and upon request, we can submit claims on your behalf so the reimbursement check comes directly to you.
How much does therapy cost?
Therapy fees vary based on the provider and their level of training and experience. Standard 55-minute sessions typically range from $150 to $220. If we’re in-network with your insurance company, we can provide an estimate of your adjusted cost.
How much does an evaluation cost?
Evaluation costs vary depending on the scope of the evaluation and the concerns being addressed. Comprehensive psychological or neuropsychological assessments, including those for ADHD, autism, and learning differences, typically range from $1,400 to $2,400.
This fee generally includes the intake appointment, standardized testing, scoring and interpretation, a comprehensive written report, and a feedback session to review findings and next steps. If we’re in-network with your insurance, we can provide an estimate of your adjusted cost.
What is your cancellation policy?
Do you work with adults?
Yes. Our practice includes providers with expertise in working with children, adolescents, and adults. We take an individualized approach to care and aim to thoughtfully match each client with a provider whose training and experience align with their needs. We’d love to learn more about what you’re looking for, so reach out and we’ll help determine whether one of our providers is the right fit.
How long does treatment last?
Every child and family is different, so the duration of services varies based on your child’s age, presenting concerns, and response to treatment. Our goal is always to equip children and families with the skills they need to navigate challenges independently over time. After the intake session, we’re happy to share an estimated timeline, and we’ll keep the lines of communication open throughout to make sure everything stays aligned with your child’s needs and goals.
How soon can we start?
We regularly have availability for new therapy clients, though families seeking after-school appointments may experience a short waitlist for those time slots. For comprehensive evaluation services, families contacting our Illinois office can generally expect scheduling within approximately six months, while our Florida office typically schedules within two months of initial contact. We encourage you to reach out as soon as you’re ready — the sooner we hear from you, the sooner we can get your child the support they deserve.
