SCHOOL CONSULTATION

MTSS, 504s, and IEPs…oh my.

Your child is struggling in school. They’re frustrated, you’re frustrated, and the teacher has communicated progress isn’t being made. While it can be difficult to acknowledge your child needs help, it’s important to keep in mind that many students benefit from school-provided support.

Although a school may be well-equipped to address students’ needs, families often don’t know what to ask for or how to access these services. They don’t fully understand the process, the services available, or the jargon teachers and counselors use to describe their child’s educational concerns and programming to address them.

In these challenging times for our teachers, our schools, and especially our children, you might feel like you could use some additional support navigating your child’s education.

To ensure your child receives the appropriate interventions to promote optimal educational outcomes, Thrive Child Psychology collaborates with schools and families to provide recommendations tailored to individualized needs.
